MexiCash Grows Organic Clicks 327% and Lifts AI Brand Sentiment 35.6 Points in 5 Months with Skyfield Digital
MexiCash is a licensed online lending app in Mexico offering personal loans from $1,000 to $50,000 MXN. When a borrower is deciding whether to download the app, the first thing they do is search or ask an AI assistant: is MexiCash legal, is it safe, is it registered with CONDUSEF, what happens if I miss a payment. Those questions were being answered by review sites, forums and AI models that had nothing from MexiCash to cite, and the answers leaned negative.
Skyfield Digital built a trust-first SEO and GEO program around those questions. In five months organic clicks grew 327%, ranking keywords grew from 54 to 252, and the brand's sentiment score in AI answers climbed from -48.0 to -12.4. Organic search is now the largest source of app downloads, and ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews, AI Mode and Gemini all cite mexicash.com directly.

The Challenge
MexiCash had a product people were searching for and almost no search footprint. The queries that decide whether someone installs a lending app, “mexicash es confiable” (8,100 searches a month), “mexicash es legal” (6,600) and “mexicash condusef”, were being answered by review aggregators and forums. In AI assistants it was worse: when Skyfield began tracking 20 brand and category prompts in May 2026, the composite sentiment score was -48.0 on a -100 to +100 scale, driven by questions about whether the app was legal, safe, or a “montadeudas” scheme.
The website did not help. It was a hand-coded static site with no CMS, so publishing an article or updating a legal page meant a developer and a deploy. There was no help center, no FAQ, no structured entity data about who operates MexiCash, and no way to measure what search or AI visitors did once they landed.
The Strategy
The plan was to make MexiCash the best answer to every question a borrower asks before, during and after a loan, then structure those answers so Google, ChatGPT and Gemini would cite them instead of third parties.
- 01
Trust-first content program
We published 109 Spanish-language articles answering the questions borrowers actually type: is MexiCash legal, is it safe, what happens if I do not pay, how collections work, how much a loan costs including CAT, how to delete your data under ARCO rights, plus comparison pieces against Kueski, Konfío, Moneyman and Creditea. Sixty-six of those went live between June and September.
- 02
Technical and entity foundation
We rebuilt the site on WordPress, redirected the legacy www paths, and added Organization schema naming the operating and lending entities, address, phone and contact points. New help center, FAQ, security, transparency and collections pages gave every trust question a permanent home, and app download, WhatsApp, phone and email clicks were wired up as GA4 conversions.
- 03
GEO layer for AI answers
Each answer page was written as a citable source: direct answers up top, FAQ structure, consistent entity facts across the site, and category coverage for "apps de préstamos" queries so the brand shows up in non-branded AI answers too. Twenty prompts were tracked monthly in Otterly.AI for sentiment and coverage, and AI assistant traffic was tracked as its own GA4 channel so citations could be measured in visits and conversions.
The Results
Search Console clicks climbed from 2,913 in May to 12,452 in September while click-through rate improved from 4.7% to 7.7% and impressions tripled from 61,927 to 193,178 in August. Ranking keywords in Mexico grew from 54 to 252, and the brand now holds position one for "mexicash es legal", "mexicash condusef", "mexicash fraude" and "mexicash opiniones", with non-branded wins like "apps de préstamos sin buró 2026" jumping 88 spots to #13 and "ine para préstamo qué validan" reaching position three. Of the 106 keywords tracked in Semrush, 34 sit in the top three and 36 in the top ten, with 53 new rankings gained and none lost.
Those rankings turned into downloads. Organic search produced 8,138 tracked conversions between July and September, over half of the site total, and monthly organic conversions grew 151% from July to September. On the AI side, brand sentiment moved from -48.0 to -12.4, prompt coverage reached 90%, and AI assistants became a measurable channel with monthly conversions up 148%.

AI search visibility
When tracking began in May 2026, MexiCash's composite sentiment score across 20 tracked prompts was -48.0. By August 30 it was -12.4, a 35.6 point gain, and prompt coverage rose from 80% to 90%, with four of the six non-branded category prompts now surfacing MexiCash. The hardest questions moved the most: "¿MexiCash es montadeudas?" went from -52 to +4 and "¿Quién está detrás de MexiCash?" from -41 to +10. AI engines now cite the site directly: Google AI Mode cited mexicash.com 14 times in August against 3 in July, AI Overviews went from 5 to 12, Gemini cited the domain for the first time, and ChatGPT referrals reached 254 sessions in August alone. Between July and September AI assistants sent 630 sessions and 135 app download and contact conversions.
Key Takeaways
- The playbook: Trust-first content program, Technical and entity foundation and GEO layer for AI answers, run together as one program instead of separate tactics.
- The headline number: +327% increase in organic clicks for MexiCash in 5 months.
- Beyond traffic: +35.6 pts brand sentiment gain in AI answers, +367% increase in ranking keywords (54 to 252), +151% increase in organic conversions, 26 google AI Overview and AI Mode citations in August, up from 8 and +148% increase in conversions from AI assistants, the signals that turn visibility into revenue.
- AI search: MexiCash is now cited by ChatGPT, Google Gemini, Google AI Overviews and Google AI Mode, so the brand shows up when buyers ask AI instead of Google.
- Why it matters for you: the same approach applies to any fintech business competing for search and AI visibility.
