Certis Solutions Website Case Study: Built Around Government Capabilities
Certis Solutions, operating as Certis Government Services, is a certified small business that supports federal, state and local government programs nationwide with construction, engineering, environmental, energy and emergency management staffing and project teams. Its buyers are contracting officers and prime contractors who evaluate a firm the way they read a capabilities statement: service lines, past performance, certifications and how fast a team can mobilize.
Skyfield Digital designed and built the new certisgs.com in WordPress from a July 2025 kickoff, with a Figma design phase, a scoped round of post-design changes in October and a build that organizes the company around three service lines (Federal, State & Local, Emergency Management), a past performance library of 18 projects for agencies including USACE, NAVFAC, AFCEC, FEMA and the VA, DOD SkillBridge and IRA compliance sections, a philanthropy page for the Anrak Charitable Foundation, and a contact form that qualifies project type and timeline before anyone picks up the phone.
At a glance
- Who: Certis Solutions, a staffing & recruiting business
- What we built: Custom design and Development on WordPress, Elementor Pro
- What happened: 18 project profiles in the past performance library, 3 dedicated service line pages, 9 core pages designed and built and 13 blog articles published since launch in Summer to fall 2025
The Challenge
Certis had a website that did not reflect how the company sells today. It needed a structure built around service lines rather than a generic services list, a way to show past performance by agency, room for its SkillBridge and IRA compliance credentials, and a contact path that tells the team what kind of project is coming in. The brief asked for a light theme that carried the existing brand forward, pointed to peer government contractors for tone, and left the platform choice to Skyfield.
Once the design was approved, the Certis team saw the site taking shape and asked for more: statistics and testimonials on the homepage, a reorganized services and about structure, carousels on the projects and philanthropy pages, a longer contact form and a consistent footer. Those changes needed a home in the plan without derailing the launch.
The Build
Design first, then build in WordPress with Elementor Pro so the Certis team can maintain it, and treat the post-design change requests as a properly scoped round rather than scope creep.

Discovery and design
The onboarding brief called for Home, service lines, Projects, Philanthropy, About and Contact, a light theme that leveraged the existing site's style, and reference sites from the government contracting space. We produced the designs in Figma and had them approved before development started.
- 02
WordPress build
We built the site on Hello Elementor with Elementor Pro: the core pages first, then the three service line sub-pages, a projects post type with categories for past performance, Contact Form 7 with qualifying fields, and an OpenStreetMap-based interactive map on the contact page.
- 03
Post-design refinements and launch
After design approval Certis asked for statistics boxes and a testimonial carousel on the homepage, restructured services and about pages, carousels on the projects and philanthropy pages, an expanded contact form and a standardized footer. We scoped those as a one-week extension and delivered them before launch, with GA4 tagging, LiteSpeed caching, cookie consent and an accessibility widget in place.
Three service line pages
Federal, State & Local and Emergency Management each get a dedicated page under a three-section services layout, so a contracting officer lands on the capability that matches their program.
Past performance library
A custom projects post type holds 18 project profiles across four categories, covering USACE districts, NAVFAC Southwest, AFCEC bases, FEMA and the Department of Veterans Affairs, presented with a three-image carousel on the projects page.
Homepage built to qualify
Statistics boxes, a testimonial carousel from partner contractors, DOD SkillBridge and IRA Compliant sections, and clear paths to services, projects and contact.
Contact form that pre-qualifies
The contact form captures project type, timeline and project details alongside name, company and contact fields, and sits beside an interactive map of where Certis operates.
Philanthropy page
A dedicated page for the Anrak Charitable Foundation with a logo and photo carousel gives the company's community work a home on the site.
Lean, fast stack
Hello Elementor with Elementor Pro, Contact Form 7, LiteSpeed caching, cookie consent and an accessibility widget, GA4 tagging from launch, and a blog that has published 13 procurement and readiness articles since December 2025.
The Results
certisgs.com now presents Certis the way its buyers evaluate it: three service lines with their own pages, 18 project profiles organized by agency and category, SkillBridge and IRA compliance credentials, a philanthropy page, and a contact form that qualifies project type and timeline next to a map of where the company operates. Since launch the team has published 13 articles on federal procurement, disaster readiness and construction topics on the new blog.
Skyfield's earlier work with Certis, including the company's first website and SEO program, is covered in a separate case study.
